Our gift shop supporting local – why local is important to us

Finding ways to diversify the offers we have here at Millom Heritage and Arts Centre is always a priority, as it helps us to maintain the Centre, keeping it open for the many supporters, visitors and tourists we have each year. But having our wonderful gift shop attached tot he ticket office and museum also helps us to offer all our visitors a better experience by having amazing products available to purchase during their time with us.

So it’s become important to us that those products available really support and represent the beautiful part of the world we live in. There will always be a good bucket and spade to help our younger visitors enjoy a visit to the beach during their stay, but we are ensuring that our products are created, sourced or are a nod to Cumbria.

Our brightly displayed gift shop houses confectionery, artwork and souvenirs, alongside a fantastic range of local produce.

Supporting local creators, makers and producers is a fantastic way we can give back to our local community, ensuring they have access to these great products all year round – as some may only come across these brands at yearly markets. It also provides our tourist visitors to the Centre with a greater understanding of the many amazing things happening here in Millom, the local area and Cumbria as the fantastic county it is!

We are proud to be in the community we are, as part of a thriving county and the gift shop is another way for us to support and promote this.
