You never know what’s around the corner!

Millom Heritage and Arts Centre celebrates bygone ages, lives amongst memorable landscapes, and stories of triumph and tragedy. Our unique collections and artefacts are housed in themed rooms which echo those times when the railway station was a bustling and noisy place where steam engines hauled passengers and freight.

Our museum recalls the significance of the past, and its relevance to today. Through displays, artefacts, a strong emphasis on visual arts and audio you will feel as if you’re surrounded by time itself. As one of our visitors recently remarked, ‘Absolutely amazing and a real treat for us all. Thank you for allowing us to see and feel history’

And it isn’t just history you’ll discover! Our gift shop is well stocked with Cumbrian produce, books and cards. Don’t forget to buy a ticket for a rail trip along the glorious Cumbrian coast – one of the most scenic rail journeys in the whole of England.

So explore and then browse the Gallery page for a taster of what’s in store!
